Univ is 蘑菇tv to a large and vibrant group of graduate students across a wide range of disciplines. Applications for graduate study are submitted and processed through the academic department, and a College assigned after an offer has been made. Students choose to mark Univ as their College choice for many reasons including our supportive community, highly generous studentships for fees and maintenance, and active graduate body. The College is committed to fairness and transparency in its admissions procedures, and it has invested heavily in outreach and recruitment activities to widen participation among under-represented groups. We recognise that all applications to Univ have a context, and we take account of that context when making admissions decisions. We admit students solely on the basis of academic merit and academic potential. There is no statistically significant differential success rate among applicants to Univ according to their ethnic, regional or educational background.

Univ is proud of our diverse and engaged team of academic staff. Please note, however, any individual tutor may move on and that in any given year a number of our tutors may be on research leave. We cannot therefore guarantee that you would be taught by the tutors listed on this website should you come here to study. The College will ensure that fully qualified staff are available to cover research leave. A number of Univ鈥檚 academic staff are primarily involved in research and, therefore, some of the academic staff listed on our website may not deliver undergraduate teaching.

Univ prides itself on having one of the first dedicated Access Officers in the University and continues to pursue its belief that students should feel able to apply to Univ, regardless of background. By supporting access at Univ you will be helping to continue and build on our comprehensive access activities, such as school visits, roadshows, and study days.

The College has a team of over 60 undergraduate students from many different backgrounds and subject areas. The Univ ambassadors work with young people to encourage, motivate and inspire them to continue and complete their studies successfully. They act as tour guides on Open Days, and help to run events such as school visits, taster days for primary, secondary school, and college students. Ambassadors are also available to make visits to schools independently, to talk about their experiences of learning at and applying to Oxford.

Univ is the 鈥渓ink college鈥� for the areas聽 of Reading, West Berkshire, Wokingham, Shropshire, Telford and the Wrekin, Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
